The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation got a special gift Thursday from the Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis (BACF) supporters in Parkersburg.
Ruth Hans and Beth Denham from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation were on hand to accept a $40,000 donation.
The money will help fund research for a cure to the genetic disorder.
17-year-old, Wyatt Smith, was among the people in attendance who has CF.
He's pleased to have an organization like the BACF to help those in need.
"I think it means a lot to me considering I have Cystic Fibrosis and it means the world to me because there's still people out in the world like them that care for kids who have C-F and everybody and all their parents," says Smith.
The BACF will be hosting a basketball game in April.
