With June being "Adopt a Shelter Cat Month," the Humane Society of Parkersburg is doing everything they can to find loving homes for our four-legged friends.
They held their third and last day of the Kitten Palooza Sunday afternoon at the Pet Supplies Plus in Vienna.
People came in to see some of the cats from the shelter.
The humane society is hoping to get as many of them adopted as possible.
A great way for the community to help stop the overpopulation at the shelter.
"Well one of the things that we are doing is we're in the process of building the low cost spayed and neuter clinic. That will definitely help hopefully by this time next year. The amount of intake on cats will be reduced because we will be able to spay and neuter more animals," says Humane Society of Parkersburg Volunteer, Melony Gingery.
Humane Society of Parkersburg officials hope to have the new spayed and neuter clinc open in either September or October of this year.
