A long time Jackson County business goes up in flames.
The owners of the Sandy Creek Farms Country Store and Meat Processing Plant say the fire started at about 11:30 Monday morning.
Three employees were there and got out okay.
Ravenswood and Silverton Fire Departments arrived in less than ten minutes but it was too late.
The building was a total loss.
The plant supplied meat to hundreds of customers.
A Jackson County meat processing plant and store is destroyed in a fire.
The fire broke out around noon Monday at Sandy Creek Farms on Silverton Road in Silverton.
Firefighters say it doesn't appear anyone was hurt.
There is no word on what started the fire.
