A special way to honor a chief after his passing.
A man who dedicated his time and energy to helping others.
Paul Duffy was the fire chief for Reno Volunteer Fire Department back in the late 60's and early 70's.
Present Chief Dan Ritchie says Duffy died last Saturday night at age 84.
During his funeral procession Wednesday they had one last fire call to Reno, squad two - Duffy's.
Then they drove past the fire house, rang the alarm and paused for a moment of silence and respect.
Chief Ritchie says this was something they wanted to do to honor him and his family, as well as showing their appreiation for the work he put into the department.
