Former WTAP Engineer Dies

We'd like to take a moment and recognize the passing of a former colleague and chief engineer at WTAP.

Charlie Helmick passed away over the weekend.

He served as chief engineer at the station for 35 years.

He wrote a letter about his life and mentioned everyone at WTAP, which is posted as part of his obituary.

Charlie is survived by his wife and two daughters and two sons.

He was 76.
