Authorities release the name of the man stabbed Monday evening in Gallipolis.
The Gallipolis Police Department says James Hamilton was taken to Grant Hospital and is listed in good condition.
They say the stabbing happened around 4:30 Monday evening on Fourth Street, stemming from a fight between two men.
Witnesses say an argument erupted between Hamilton and another man.
During the fight Hamilton was stabbed in the chest with a knife.
Police say a person of interest was questioned about the incident but no one has been charged.
A fight between two people ends when one man is sent to the hospital for a stab wound.
The Gallipolis Police Department responded to a disturbance on 4th Avenue in Gallipolis, OH around 4:30 PM Monday.
Officers say upon arrival they found a 38 year old man with what appeared to be a stab wound to the chest.
Witnesses say an argument erupted between two men and one of them was stabbed with a knife during the course of the fight.
Officials say the victim was taken to Holzer Medical Center and at last report was going to be flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
The victim's name has not been released at this time.
Police say a person of interest was questioned about the incident, but at this time no one has been charged.
