Gallia County Water Leak

Monday is the eighth day some people in Gallia County will go with little to no water in their homes and businesses.

Emergency response teams in Gallipolis are still handing out water.

Crews say they're prepared to continue giving out bottles and 5 gallon bags until Tuesday.

EMA says nearly 95 percent of people who were originally affected last Monday now have water, but it's still at very low pressure.

The last 5 percent without water won't have services restored until crews locate the leak and repair it.

Even though many people now have water again, several businesses in Galipolis remain closed.

Some restaurants and hotels won't reopen until inspected by the health department.

That could be days after the leak is fixed.
