Gearing Up For 2014!

Counting down to the new year!

If you're at home without ideas on how to ring in 2014, some local destinations, would like you to be their guest.

The Lafayette Hotel in downtown Marietta is hosting their own New Year's Eve party, in the hotel ballroom.

The event will include live music and performances.

Hotel staff is expecting to welcome a big crowd their new year's eve room-packages are already sold out.

"At 12:00, we're going to do a midnight buffet, champagne toast, everybody's getting party favors with the party and the breakfast buffet at midnight and I guess the band is playing until 12:30," says Lafayette Hotel Front Desk Manager, Julie Hambrecht.

Tickets for the new year's party are still available at $29.95 for single guests and $55 for couples.

The admission will cover a midnight breakfast and champagne toast.

At the Marietta Brewing Company, they too will have a new year's celebration.

People can enjoy fine beer and wine at the city's only micro brewery.

Nolfolk, Virginia musician, Phillip Roebuck will also be there performing songs well into the new year.

And in Parkersburg, the Blennerhassett Hotel is hosting their "Around-The World On New Year's Eve" party at Spats Lounge, beginning at 8.

Guests will experience various new year's traditions from around the globe .

DJ A-Roc of Athens will spin music of all genres.

Staff will also serve hor d'oeurves beginning at 8:30.
