Parkersburg High School hosted it's first ever Spring-Easter Celebration Tuesday evening.
Everyone gathered outside the school to see the lighting up of the Easter basket wishing people happy spring.
The Easter bunny, Salvation Army's Children's Choir and the Chick Fil A Cow were among the guests in attendance.
This is a good time for people to understand the true meaning of Easter.
"It's not only gifts and Easter bunnies, it's the real reason, the resurrection of Jesus. So that is very important and we need to tell people to come and enjoy the evening with us and celebrate spring," says Coordinator and Founder, Kiki Angelos.
The Easter Basket Committee says they plan on hosting the event every year.
