The Wood County Recreation Commission sponsors the free event.
Kids ages 3-14 can fish for the grand prize.
The "Golden Trout" is worth $100, but hasn't been caught the past few years.
Organizers say even though it was rainy out participants had a great day to get hooked on fishing.
"It's just a great outing for the kids to get them out of the house. And it's a lot of fun for the kids," says Matt Shively.
Winners for each age group got a trophy and free fishing pole.
