A transportation security administration agent dies after a gunman opens fire inside Los Angeles International Airport.
Officials say the gunman opened fire near a security checkpoint Friday morning, forcing a terminal evacuation.
At least two others were wounded.
Initial reports indicate the gunman approached a document checker, then pulled a firearm and fired at the security officer.
Law enforcement officials swarmed the airport and set up a medical triage area outside the terminal.
Traffic entering the airport by road was also stopped.
Flights have been grounded at LAX.
