The Wood County Habitat for Humanity is just $10,000 shy of their goal.
Their Caring Campaign helps fund building and administrative expenses for housing projects throughout the year. This year's goal is $100,000.
Officials say the generosity from donors has been amazing, and they hope people will continue to give to make the campaign a success.
"We're in the last month of our Caring Campaign, which was started in October. Our goal has been to raise $100,000 to continue to build houses in Wood County. We are currently building one house right now, beginning a second one, planning a third and fourth one for the year. So all this money would go to our efforts to build houses here in Wood County," says Executive Director Alvin Phillips.
