Kids and adults in Marietta got dirty Saturday morning at the first annual Mud Run.
The Marietta Family YMCA put on the event at the Washington County Career Center.
Kids and adults alike ran through a 5K obstacle course called the Marietta Mudder.
Similar to a "warrior dash" or a "tough mudder", the course requires people to crawl through the mud.
They also had to run up a dirt hill and end the race by going down a slide.
No matter how dirty and wet everyone got, it's all about having a good time.
"It took months and months of planning for the staff and the committee and volunteers to design the course, to build the course, to promote it to everyone but it was a fun day and a lot of participants and it was just a great event," says Marietta Family YMCA Executive Director, Suzy Zumwalde.
The YMCA committee says kids and adults from all over the valley made their way to Marietta to participate in the Mud Run.
