The fun, food and entertainment have all been packed up and now the city of Parkersburg is reflecting on this years homecoming.

City officials say the crowds were steady and once again this year, homecoming called in an audience from near and far. Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell says, as in years past, this year's homecoming was a hit.

"I think it went very well. From what I can tell it went smoothly. Of course, we always have a few minor complaints, with the traffic mostly, with the parade and road race," Mayor Newell says. "But other than that, it seemed to be well attended and the weather was pretty decent."

Mayor Newell says he's excited to see what next years homecoming will bring as Point Park will be completely finished and be able to house more attractions.
