The Marietta Wheelers and the Peoples Bank Shot square off on the court to raise money and awareness for those with disabilities.
The two teams square off in a game of wheelchair basketball. The game helps raise awareness about people with disabilities and funds from the evening go to the Wood County Society's Camp Echo. Organizers say the game helps show community members that every obstacle should be challenged.
"The whole purpose of this game is ability awareness," explains Steve Vincent. "To show that just because people with disabilities have challenges they have the ability to do things and those can be overcome."
The Wheelers came away with the victory with a score of 37-26. To learn more about the Marietta Wheelers or the Wood County Society click on the links below.
