It's a community event many look forward to every year. The annual Christmas tree lighting at Parkersburg High School draws hundreds from students, to teachers, and community members. It's a festive program planned and performed by PHS students. The student council hosts the program with the band, chorus, and the Red Wings dancers performing Christmas classics. It's a long standing school tradition that each class continues.
