Interim HealthCare Toy, Humane Society Drive

As we enjoy this holiday weekend, all the shopping certainly reminds us that the Christmas season is here.

And that means it's that wonderful time of year to give to those who are less fortunate.

Interim HealthCare on Pike Street in Marietta turned their offices Friday into a little piece of the North Pole, and Humane Society, as well.

Employees partnered with Children Services to collect toys for underprivileged kids.

And they also joined the Mid-Ohio Valley Humane Society to raise awareness for local animals without a home.

Those cats and dogs were available to anyone looking to adopt them.

Meanwhile, Santa Claus made a visit to say hi to area children.

This is Interim HealthCare's first such event.

"We are trying it out and we figured what better way to do this than have Santa, some animals, and draw-in as much as we can," says Nicole Clatterbuck, Human Resources Coordinator. "This helps the Humane Society, which is near and dear to my heart, as well as helping underprivileged children. Seeing them come in, see Santa, a smile on their face, get to play with some animals, and it's a win-win for everybody."

The toy drive will benefit children of the Mid-Ohio Valley.

All other donations will go to the Humane Society.
