UPDATE 8/8/13 6:35 A.M.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - The jackpot from last night's Powerball lottery is $448 million. And lottery officials say there are three winning tickets.

Two were sold in New Jersey and one in Minnesota.

The New Jersey Lottery tells the Star-Ledger in Newark that one ticket was bought at a supermarket in South Brunswick, N.J., and another was sold in Little Egg Harbor.

UPDATE 8/8/13 12:15 A.M.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - The numbers have been drawn for the $448 million Powerball jackpot.

They are 05, 25, 30, 58, 59 and Powerball 32.

At the time of the telecast, Powerball officials announced that the jackpot previously estimated at $425 million had grown to about $448 million.

Wednesday's third largest-ever jackpot comes only months after the biggest Powerball jackpot in history - a $590 million pot won in Florida.

When the jackpot soars, people hit the stores.

It's still not the jackpot won by a Florida woman three months ago, but the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday's drawing was still an astounding $425 million.

And that's the third largest Powerball jackpot in history.

The big jackpots mean big business to the stores selling those tickets.

"At noon, lunchtime, it gets kind of busy," says Cynthia Starcher, an employee at Peoples News in South Parkersburg, "and then, at 5:00, when people are getting off work, they'll want to come in and get all their tickets. There's a lot more interest in it, with it being higher. Everybody wants their chance at 425."

The jackpot for Wednesday's drawing would fetch a single winner a lump-sum payment of about $244.7 million.

When it comes to who the luckiest states are, West Virginia and Ohio do not make the top ten list.

Neighboring Pennsylvania, however, has the most jackpot winners during the past ten years, followed by Indiana.

And the Bluegrass State, Kentucky, also is in the top ten.
