The WTAP Jan Dils team surprised her at Ritchie County High School Tuesday.
She's been teaching now for 33 years.
Mrs. Hardway says her students never cease to amaze her with their ability and readiness to learn something new.
Tuesday's ceremony was made even more special for Mrs. Hardway. Her parents, Wilson and Betty, showed up and surprised her with congratulations as she accepted her award.
