Jump Roping In The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Those of you taking a walk around City Park Saturday afternoon may have noticed a group of kids with jump ropes.

The children are from "Jump Company USA" and are preparing for their appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York in a few weeks.

They're the only team in the state to participate in the prestigious parade this year.

"We've been working hard at this, we have certain routines we're doing. We have a one-minute segment at Herald Square, go Jump Co! But the biggest thing is these kids get to exercise, they get to go to New York City, meet up with their friends and represent the sport of jump rope," says Jump Company USA Coach, Rochelle Boggs.

The group says it's an honor to be a part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The parade kicks off Thanksgiving morning, November 28th at nine, right here on WTAP.
