Keeping Travelers And Roads Safe At All Times

The Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol needs your help keeping roads and travelers safe.

The Post is holding a Community Shield Training in August.

It will consists of instruction for impaired driver detection, criminal patrol, human trafficking and more.

Those attending will receive a complimentary license plate bracket at the end of the training.

"As a citizen of Marietta myself, community involvement is a huge part of what we do with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and it gives us an extra set of eyes and ears out there on the roadway to help us accomplish the job that we're trying to do," says Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant, Michael Seabolt.

The Community Shield Training will take place on August 7th and 17th at 7pm at the Marietta Post off of State Route 7.

Space for the training session is limited and a first come, first serve basis for registration.

The highway patrol will stop accepting applications by August 1st.
