The heat is here to stay and that has many people reaching for the thermostat. That, in turn, has many people calling to have their air conditioners fixed when their home just isn't cool enough.
From fans, to freon and filters, service technicians have seen it all this year.
Since Grogg's Heating and Air Conditioning has 24 hour call services, employees say, there have been some late nights and really early mornings.
To help make sure you don't become one of the calls, the professionals are letting us in on some tips to keep you cool.
"We recommend doing service maintenance agreements, which is something we offer at Grogg's. We'll come out twice a year and inspect the unit, for cooing in the spring and heating in the fall," says Mike Barber, Grogg's Heating and Air Conditioning Service Technician. "Change the filter every 30 days- depending on the filter . We recommend a pleated filter. They catch a little more debris that's floating in the air. Also, I'd like to recommend to every homeowner, hose off the outdoor unit. Even if its running, it'll help keep that condenser clean."
Barber says these quick tips may help you keep you cooling system from failing under the sun's intense heat.
