Kids Having Breakfast With Santa

Child on Santa's lap.

Kids at one Parkersburg church enjoyed breakfast with a familiar face Saturday.

Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church held its annual Breakfast with Santa.

Volunteers lit candles to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary Schools shootings in Connecticut.

Families got to enjoy pancakes, bacon and sausage.

Santa Claus made his appearance jingling his bell and talking to the kids.

"We just really enjoy doing it. It's just something we look forward to every year with the kids. The kids love it, Santa loves it, we love it. It's just a lot of fun and it really means a lot to us to bring the kids together and see them have a good time," says Belpre Police Department Dispatcher, Linda Nichols.

Volunteers spent several hours preparing the breakfast.

The Breakfast with Santa was started by the late Sister Mary Clancy.
