Starting Monday, July 29 and for at least 5 days after, both southbound lanes of front street will be closed.
The closures are from the 100 to 200 block (Greene to Putnam).
It's for the installation of stamped brick concrete crosswalks.
Two way traffic in the northbound lanes will be maintained and drivers are asked to use caution.
Also, officials say to use Second Street to avoid congestion and delays.
Once the work on the southbound lanes is complete, they'll start the same work on the northbound lanes.
The entire project should last about 10 days, weather permitting.
