The crash left her critically injured, but today a local teen is talking about what led up to it, and why people need to listen to her very important story.

VFW Post 1212 hosted a spaghetti dinner in honor of 15-year-old Danielle Burke of Parkersburg.

The teen lost her left-arm in the crash last October.
She says she had been drinking before getting in the car that day.

All proceeds will help Burke be fitted for a prosthetic at a hospital in Chicago.

She shares a message, for all teens on the road.

"I cannot stress more that people need to have designated drivers or just not drink at all, no under age drinking, that's the mistake that I made was drinking under age and I shouldn't have and I take complete ownership for it," said Burke.
