Local Boy Scouts Involved In Abuse Cases?

It's called the perversion file. And it's something the Boy Scouts of America released this week, documenting men who are not allowed to be associated with scouting because of molestation cases.

The reports said more than two dozen scout units-including Parkersburg-were linked to allegations of abuse.

We could only find one case; a 1966 incident involving a scout leader from New Martinsville.

Dale Musgrave, of the Allohak council in Parkersburg, says that currently, if a scout leader is accused of abuse, he would be removed...at least temporarily...pending an investigation.

The Allohak council, which was part of a merger of boy scout councils in the early '90's, covers fifteen counties in West Virginia and two in Ohio.
The allegations were from the 1960's to the '80's.
