Low Turnout for Early Voting in Ohio

By  |

Several grabbed a ballot and voted for a candidate or issue. It's early voting in Washington County and people are going to the polls ahead of time.

But even though the day was busy, the turnout in general, isn't what the B.O.E. expected.

"I'm worried that people are just disinterested. They're disappointed with the candidates and that sort of thing so it's kind of sad," says Board of Elections Director Peggy Byers.

You can still cast your early election vote. The B.O.E. is open every weekday from 8-5 and Saturday's from 8-12.

Friday, March 2nd is the last day to vote, and they're open until 6 p.m. that day.
