A paving project will cause major delays Monday, November 11 on I-77 ramps in Wood County.
The West Virginia Division of Highways says the work is being done on the I-77 northbound entrance and exit ramps at Exit 179 (WV2/Emerson Avenue).
Drivers should avoid the area between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 11.
This is part of the project that begins on the WV 68 portion of Emerson Avenue, one-half mile south of the I-77 interchanges and ends on WV 2, one and one-half miles north of the I-77 interchanges, near Valley Mills Road.
That work has been upgraded to four lanes with a center turn lane, along with full replacement/upgrade of the bridge crossing over I-77.
