Man Tased, Arrested During Standoff

UPDATE 1/2/13 7:05 A.M.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says they've tased and arrested a drunk man who barricaded himself inside his home for seven hours.

The sheriff's office says 48 year old Kevin Bartlett barricaded himself in his home on Jackson Run off State Route 260 in Grandview Township.

Deputies were there from 6 last night until 1 this morning trying to get him to come out.

They say he fired off shots, but not directly towards anyone.

Bartlett did threaten to harm himself.

The Special Response Team from the sheriff's office was eventually called in.

Because Bartlett wouldn't show his hands and refused to cooperate, they tased him.

He's charged with using weapons while under disability - a third degree felony - and a misdemeanor count of using weapons while intoxicated.

He's in the Washington County Jail.
