Not just one, but two bar fights.

It happened just after midnight Sunday morning.

Marietta Police say it happened at the Norwood Tavern on Greene Street.

After police were called to investigate the first fight, a second one broke out involving more than a dozen people.

Both a bartender and a police officer were hit.

A bar patron, 20-year-old Kurtis Matthew Walters of Parkersburg, is charged with separate counts of assault and assault on a peace officer and underage drinking.

He's also accused of resisting arrest and criminal damaging.

Walters is being held in the Washington County Jail.

Police don't know why the fights broke out.
