It took four search teams, all looking for a man who jumped off the East Street Bridge on Monday night. Now, police are saying the man is fine and swam to shore after jumping in.

At about 7:00 p.m. two runners were crossing the East Street Bridge when they saw a man jump over the edge.

Police now say that man was Ricky Lee Brown Sr.

Officials say it's about a 60 foot drop into the Little Kanawha River.

Teams from Parkersburg, Marietta, Vienna and Little Hocking spent Monday night searching the river banks with boats.

Tuesday, officials tell us they know who the man is and say he is homeless and he simply jumped in because he was hot.
