A man is in the hospital Saturday after being pinned beneath logs near Lowell. It could have been a deadly situation, but his friends were there to help.
Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says 36 year-old Brad Zimmer was cutting down trees when he got pinned between two logs.
It happened north of Lowell on Route 60.
Zimmer was with several friends when his legs got pinned. They called 911.
Emergency crews used a boom truck to lift the tree off his legs.
Zimmer was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Officials say they don't believe his leg is broken.
