UPDATE: Marietta Homeowner Offers Reward in Burglary

New information on the home invasion on Harmar Hill we told you about last week.

Marietta Police say a man broke into a home, stealing a laptop and purse.

Now the owner of the home tells WTAP he's offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.

The suspect of the crime rode away from the home on a bicycle, crossing Route 7 before escaping into the woods near Rinks.

Marietta Police say there may be two suspects in a Friday morning burglary.

Capt. Jeff Waite says a woman living at 308 Bellevue Street reported a laptop and purse were stolen from the home Friday morning.

She says she woke up to find a man looking at her.

Capt. Waite says a man 35-40 years old, with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a red hat and black coat took off on a bicycle.

The suspect rode down Harmar Hill and onto Route 7 before jumping off the bike and running into the woods near Rinks Flea Market.

Information about the second suspect is not available at this time.

Authorities in Marietta are searching for a burglary suspect.

Marietta Police Capt. Jeff Waite says it happened at a home at 308 Bellevue Street.

The suspect was wearing a red hat and black coat and is 35-40 years old.

Capt. Waite says the victim was sleeping, when she woke up and the man was looking at her inside her house.
