Marietta Teen Making History

One Marietta teen is making history in the barrel racing world.

13-year-old Tabby Slack,from Marietta is competing in the Regional Barrel Racing Competition Friday in Columbus.

Slack along with her horse, Mya, competed in the barrel racing locally at the Pioneer City Riding Club.

Her hard work and dedication in the competition has inspired many people in a town she loves to call home.

"I feel extremely excited and happy and just gonna go out there and have fun and do my best," says Slack.

"The hard work they put into this to qualify to go to state competition for Marietta is very exciting for me and her mother," added Slack's father, Howard Baker.

If you would like to see Slack and Mya in person, they're putting on a Horse Speed Show Saturday.

It's scheduled for 4pm at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
