Marietta College Donates First Aid Kits

The Marietta College athletic training students donated eight first-aid kits to the Marietta Family YMCA.

The kits had basic first-aid needs such as Band-Aids, gauze, cold packs, tweezers and tape.

The entire Y staff is certified in First Aid. The Y says these new mobile packs will help make it easier to always have a pack close by.

The Marietta Y praises the College for their donation and constant support throughout the years.

"We're going to be able to use these for our sports for our child care, for out door activities, boot camps, and fitness classes and that way our staff will always be prepared to deal with an emergency," explains Director of the Marietta YMCA Suzy Zumwalde.

In March, athletic trainers across America were recognized for their dedication.

They say the donation is to help further prevent other from injury... and bring awareness to the job trainers do daily.
