Mason County School Getting Instruments From VH1

By  |

Thousands of dollars worth of musical instruments are coming to a school in Mason County.

All thanks to VH1's Save the Music Foundation Program.

Wahama Junior/Senior High School is getting $30,000 worth of clarinets, flutes and other instruments.

Seven other public schools in West Virginia are also getting instruments from the program.

The program is a partnership between the foundation and the state Division of Culture and History.

The agency says 43 schools have received more than $1 million worth of instruments since 2010.
