February 6th is the deadline in Washington County for anyone wanting to be a candidate or get an issue on the ballot.
The May 7th election will sees seven council seats for Belpre and Marietta, Belpre City Auditor, Belpre City Treasurer and Marietta City Treasurer. No county-wide issues or levies have filed to petition for the May election, yet.
The May election will decide each party's nomination and the November election will decide who wins the overall seat.
Deadline for voter registration for the May election is April eighth.
