Meigs County Man Accused of Threatening to Kill Neighbor

A Meigs County man is under arrest after he is accused of threatening to kill a neighbor.

The Meigs County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 4:00 Sunday afternoon.

They say a man threatened to kill his neighbor with a hatchet.

Not long after a call about a possible drunk driver comes in, police say they caught him driving erratically.

That's when they say 63-year-old Ernest Ramsey of Pomeroy got out of the vehicle, yelling and charging at police with a machete.

Officers were able to take him into custody.

He is charged with two counts of felony assault and one count of resisting arrest.
