Jack was the bomb dog for the Parkersburg Fire Department.
He helped to protect the community from danger and those that knew him best came to his memorial to show their support.
More than forty community members honored the dog and remember him for his love and special bond with his handler.
Mike Beckett and Jack were inseparable and Mike was with him until lymphoma took Jack's life on October 27th.
"Working canines and their handlers have a very special bond. He was great to work with and my life depended on him and I trusted him with it," says Becket.
Jack will not be replaced by the Beckett family.
They thank the community for their love and support during this difficult time of loss.
