The Wood County Sheriff's Office says it was a good outcome after a search for a 79-year old man.

Neighbors called in that Bill Roach was missing around 9 p.m after he didn't return from his ATV ride.

Using the Wood County Sheriff's helicopter, Williamstown, Waverly, Lubeck, Mineral Wells and Vienna Fire Departments along with neighbors all searched.

It was called off around 2 a.m. Tuesday due to darkness, resuming again at 7 a.m.

Roach was found around 9:00 Tuesday morning and taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital with fairly minor injuries.

His ATV had flipped in a ravine.

He said he couldn't get the copter's attention and his throat was too dry to call out to a nearby searcher.
