Romney Campaign Stops in Zanesville, OH
Protestors at Romney Rally in Zanesville
He's focusing on small businesses and taking advantage of natural resources here in the valley.
"This is pretty darn tough in America right now for the middle class and I can tell you this, help is on the way. We're gonna get America strong again," says presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.
"Romney's view of the future has everybody involved in it," says John, a college student supporting Romney.
Marge Jensen says, "I think what Romney's plan is, is going to be better."
But what does that plan mean to the valley? Mitt Romney made a stop in Zanesville, Ohio bringing hundreds together who believe his plan is best for Middle Class America. That plan focuses on five key points.
"We're going to take advantage of our energy. Our coal, our wind, our nuclear, our oil you name it. We're taking advantage of our energy," explains Romney.
One of the major focuses of the Romney Campaign is small businesses which is exactly why he decided to go to Tom's Ice Cream Bowl in Zanesville on Tuesday.
"We're gonna champion small businesses like this one right here. We're gonna help small business people, and it's not just because we love ice cream," Romney says.
But those who couldn't get enough ice cream we're also screaming for two other parts of the Romney plan, education, and trade, along with one problem Romney says our country hasn't been able to fix for years. "We're going to do something politicians have spoken about in both parties for years and haven't done, and that's this.; We're going to finally cut spending, cut the deficits, and get America on track to a balanced budget."
"I think Mitt Romney has the experience to fix the money problem. We have a big money problem," says supporter Ken Preder.
Experience and a plan. That's what Romney hopes will win him the presidentail election this November.
Romney was also in Beallsville and Chillicothe on Tuesday.
Ohio was the final stop in his "Plan For A Stronger Middle Class" tour.
