We use computers everyday.

Writing and learning computer code - now that's a little different.

Marietta Mayor Joe Matthews took a stab at it Friday morning at the Career Center.

It's all part of National Computer Science Education Week.

Reading a proclamation and then writing an hour of code, Mayor Matthews worked with students on the programs they use to develop skills for programming.

Career Center teachers say its all about creating awareness about computer science education.
