Chief Joe Martin announced the addition of the substation at 13th and Avery Streets on Thursday. It will be located in The Savage Apartment complex. City workers say the new substation will provide convenient accessibility to the police as well as add police presence to an area that has an extremely high level of criminal activity. The substation will be open and operational on September 10th.
