Some help for a busy Washington County Sheriff's Office. There's a new dog warden in town.
Recently, the sheriff's office has been inundated with calls for help with animals.
Deputy Sheriff Russell Blamble is joining the dog warden team. He says there's been an increase in dog ownership in the county.
"I'll be helping enforce the dog laws, enforce dog tags and investigating all crimes that come with the dog laws."
He says one of the biggest problems is people not registering their animals and getting dog tags.
