Update 1:40pm Wednesday:

The new president of Mister Bee Potato Chips now faces two instead of three charges related to a weekend traffic stop.

WTAP News spoke with Christie Mallet's lawyer today.
Rolf Baumgartel says a charge of violating probation was not filed, and the charges are driving under suspension and obstruction.
He confirms Mallett was stopped by the Ohio Highway Patrol Saturday.
but she was not arrested or charged there.

Baumgartel says Mallett later voluntarily went to the Marietta post to clarify details about the stop.
After speaking to troopers there, she was arrested and taken to the Washington county jail.
Baumgartel says Mallett pleaded not guilty and plans to carry on with her duties as president of Mister Bee.

He says Marietta municipal court will schedule a pretrial hearing and then a hearing if the case can't be resolved.
The new president of Mister Bee Potato Chips faces three charges, including violating probation, driving on a suspended license for an OVI conviction and obstructing official business.

A daily news release from the Washington County Sheriff says the State Highway Patrol arrested 35-year old Christie Mallett Saturday afternoon on state route 339.

Mallett just this month was named president , replacing Doug Klein who stayed with the company.

WTAP News spoke with Mallett Tuesday afternoon and she referred us to her lawyer Rolf Baumgartel.

We placed a call to him, but have not heard from him.

We were able to reach former president Doug Klein, but he denied having any knowledge of Mallet's arrest.

These are just charges, and she is innocent until proven guilty.
