White is charged with the murder of his step-son, Andrew Daggett.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, an altercation occurred between the two before White shot Daggett in the abdomen.
White's preliminary hearing was waived which means he will be heading to circuit court for his bond to be decided.

A Mineral Wells man is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting and killing another man, Sunday night.
Lieutenant Parsons with the Wood County Sheriff's Office says Randall Lee White, 56, and Scott Andrew Daggett, 36, also of Mineral Wells, got into a fight at a home on Butcher Bend Road, just past Price Road.
White then allegedly shot Daggett in the abdomen.
Daggett was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center where he later died.
White has been arraigned and is being held at the Wood County Holding Center.
The cause of the fight is still under investigation.

Wood County Sheriff's officers were continuing to investigate a reported shooting in Mineral Wells Sunday night.
A Wood County 911 center dispatcher said close to 9 p.m. a caller said an argument got out of hand at a home on Butcher Bend Road just past Price Road.
One person was allegedly shot in the abdomen and taken to Camden Clark Medical Center.
Sheriff Jeff Sandy said details could not be released but the incident remains under investigation.
