Ohio Governor Candidate Meets Supporters in Marietta

Ed FitzGerald says he hasn't had a day off in six weeks.

He brought his campaign back to Marietta Thursday.

The Democratic Cuyahoga County commissioner made no mention of a poll released Wednesday showing Republican Governor John Kasich with a comfortable lead in the race.

But he did cite another poll, one which says he's running a lot closer.

"We had a poll that came out two weeks ago (that said) we were only down by one point. So it's very competitive. My parents raised me that if you want something you have to work hard for it, and that's what we're trying to do," he says.

FitzGerald Thursday also made appearances in Gallia and Pike Counties.
