A Meigs County family needs your help.

After a mobile home fire Thursday in Meigs County that sent one man to the hospital, donations are being collected at Old Towne Emporium in Belpre.

The home was completely destroyed and the two men lost everything.

Eldon Pierce, son of Rodney Pierce who lived in the home, is hoping the community will come together to help the men get back on their feet.

"He lost everything he had so we're going to start donations. People can give anything they want because he lost everything so he has to start all over again. Household items, furniture, clothes, anything that they want to bring," says Eldon Pierce.

Pierce says he came up with the idea when a friend lost their home to a fire and collected donations for them.

Donations can be dropped off at Old Towne Emporium located on Main Street in Belpre anytime during business hours.

Owen Miller, who was injured in the fire, is still in critical condition at a hospital in Huntington.

A fire in Meigs County Thursday night, in the Long Bottom area on Mount Olive Road.
