For the second year, the Parkersburg Police Department is partnering with Try-Again Homes to help give foster kids a Christmas to remember.
The police department focuses on giving back to the community, and this year 55 kids will be on the receiving end of that generosity.
Try-Again Homes is a nonprofit foster care agency, and they need your help to make this a special Christmas for each child.
"So what we wanted to do was, again for the second year, is to collect new and unwrapped presents for Christmas for about 55 area foster children and try to give them the best Christmas that we possibly can because quite honestly I can think of few other people who deserve a great Christmas," says Parkersburg Police Sergeant Greg Collins.
Sgt. Collins says toys are always a great gift, but there is a big need for winter clothes and shoes.
