The Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitor's Bureau met this afternoon for a look ahead at 2013.
The annual meeting drew members from around the region to also talk about last year...and what went right.
"It was a great year for tourism in the area with the record hotel/motel tax collections. That just I think is an indicator of all the things we have in the area to offer and the things we have that draw people to Parkersburg," says Mark Lewis, president.
Lewis says this year the CVB is working on the market of scout troops going back and forth to the National Jamboree in July, a direct mail campaign that is a series of ads they feel will be lucrative down the line, and much more to look forward to in the coming months.
